Competitive Dancer Registration
Dancers who participate in RSOBHD registered competitions anywhere in the world are required to be registered with the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing Inc. South Australia has a representative on our SA State Committee who is the official dancer Registrar for all dancers who live in South Australia.

South Australian Dancer Registration Process
NEW DANCER REGISTRATIONS:
Please send to the SA Dancer Registrar –
- Completed Registration form
- A Permanent address is required (no PO Box) and requires details and signature of teacher to be processed
- Completed ABHDI Code of Ethics form
- Two passport-sized photographs
- Pre-premier Registration Scheme Form (Beginners / Novice / Intermediate)
- Proof of age (birth certificate/extract) or passport
- $40 annual registration fee to be paid via direct bank payment or cheque/money order prior to card being issued
- Self-addressed return envelope unless pre-arranged delivery
ANNUAL RENEWALS OR CHANGE OF LEVEL
Please send to the SA Dancer Registrar –
- Completed Registration form
- A Permanent address is required (no PO Box) and requires details and signature of teacher to be processed
- Completed ABHDI Code of Ethics form
- Return of current registration card
- Two passport-sized photographs IF photo update is requested (please note change of photo can not occur for dancers in Pre-Premier until a change of level occurs
- Self-addressed return envelope
- $40 annual registration fee to be paid via direct bank payment or cheque/money order prior to card being issued. (Payable once only – 1/1 to 31/12 2020)

The Registrar aims for immediate registration processing, however please ensure you allow 7-10 working days for Australia Post return mail services.
Please note that Competition entries can NOT be processed by Competition Organisers for dancers who are not registered and financial at the time of entry. Please ensure dancer registration is completed and the dancer’s registration number has been received before competitions are entered.
Dancer Registration Payment:
$40 per dancer, paid annually for the 1 January, 2020 to 31 December 2020 dancing year.

Membership of the SA Technical Committee
Membership to the SA Technical Committee and access to all SA Technical sessions and resources is available to all qualified RSOBHD teachers.
Annual SA Technical membership is currently $30 per year, from each AGM in July.
This is highly encouraged for new and experienced teachers for professional development and experience.

Please contact the SASCHDI Technical Secretary via the Contact Us page of this website to register your interest in joining SA Technical. A letter of introduction and a copy of your teaching qualification will be required for your membership to be accepted.
